Facebook would be looking to raise as much as $1 billion USD from Venture Capital firms to finance its own cryptocurrency.
The information was revealed by New York Times technology reporter Nathaniel Popper on April 8th.
What would be the purpose of this new crypto?
Facebook wants to create a stablecoin, backed by a huge volume of Fiat currencies to allow his Whatsapp users to be able to transfer money instantly, and most likely to offer even more services.
